A volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) is a material that protects metals from rust. V.VCI is also called Vacuum VCI.
A VCI emitter works in the same simple way that VCI paper products work. When metals are wrapped or packaged, the chemicals volatilize in the packaging environment and form a protective molecular layer on the surface of the metal.
